July Sweet William Market

The day before each market I have a ritual.  It is a ritual of doing way too much in a small amount of time and thinking I can absolutely with out a doubt get everything done!
Of course I can, I am wonder woman after all!  Kellie means warrior woman, so I am up for any battle.

So I get everything done that I realize I can and come to terms with the things that will have to wait until the next market.  I settle into bed around 11:30.  My dear husband is out of town and he is in charge of the alarm on a normal basis.  So being totally on top of everything I check the alarm. It is set for 4:00 and I think great I am all set.  I am usually so wound up before each market I have a hard time sleeping.  I decide to listen to my deep sleep mediation and I drift away into dreamland.  After being awoken several times by the dogs and their needs.  I climb back into bed for a few hours more of much needed sleep.
Only to be awaken once again by a barking dog.

I say "Maggie shhhh" trying to quite the 8lb guard dog protecting me on the bed.
I roll over and slowly open my eyes and think OMG THE SUN IS UP!!!!!!!!
I quickly glance at the clock and it says 5:45!!!
OH  *@$#%*!&^()_!!!!!!
5:45 is the exact time I should be pulling down the street on my way to the Sweet William Market!!!!!

Here is a lovely drawing of me at that moment.

Here are photos of the four legged babies in the house.
Sam all partied out during my daughter's birthday party.
Miss Maggie the 8lb watch dog.  Yes she is asleep in a doll stroller.

Well after a quick shower I am headed out the door about a half an hour late.  I arrive at the market 30 minutes after my set up time and thankfully it was not a problem!  That was a close one for sure.
As for the alarm that never went off, I checked it when I got home and it was set for 4:00PM.
There is a reason why I am not in charge of these things!
We are all good at certain things. I clearly am not good at alarm setting.

Anyway, I get all set up and have a wonderful day at the Sweet William.  I had some lovely ladies come by and show me how they were using the yard cozies without the yard.
Totally love it!

It was a wonderful day on the green.  I had a lot of new items and sold some awesome pieces too.

Here is a drawing of me at the market with my torn pocket smile.
(My grandma used to say Kellie you have the biggest smile just like a torn pocket. She had four boys, I'm sure she saw her fair share of big torn pockets. I always took it as a complement.) :o)

Oh my I almost forgot!!! A big THANK YOU to all of the wonderful people that stopped by and said hello again at the market!  I love chatting with everyone, I think it is the best part of the day!!!

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day full of life and color!

Post Horseshoe

Hi all!
It was a hot wonderful day at the Horseshoe Market on the 13th.  I was so fortunate to meet so many nice people.  I love that part it makes the day go by and it is fun to chat.  I almost lost my voice because I talked so much.  And let me tell you I'm a talker anyway, so for me to almost lose my voice I must have talked A LOT!!!  So here is an up date on what found new homes this weekend.  Well almost all of the little things and a few big things.  Jennifer took home Sweet Caroline and Cotton Candy

and Tammy took home Tammy!  It was her chair after all!
Tammy's on the right

Some of the large Yard Cozies made there way to new yards.  I think I forgot to tell you that I made some large Yard Cozies that you can put ice and then your drink!! Brilliant on a hot day!

Emmi my daughter made $9 on her Emmi's Critters!  She was so happy!

I was also lucky enough to meet some really nice vendors as well.
All super nice women and great market neighbors!

Thank you so much for all of the wonderful people and friends that stopped by to support me!  You are truly appreciated and it means the world to me!!!!

This Summer Horseshoe Market was my very first , and I had a wonderful time.  I have applied for the Fall Horseshoe Market as well.  I will keep you posted on the status!  That one is October 5th.
Thanks for reading and as always
have a wonderful day full of life and color!

Jumping up and down and screaming in excitement!!!!!

When I started Vava's Vintage, I did it for me.  It was just something I wanted to; really needed to do.  I have gone into this with the attitude if I do well fantastic, if I don't then so be it and I will have a ton of fun furniture for my house.  Well apparently in the mix of doing Vava's on my terms, people are beginning to notice.  I mean really notice.  Thanks to 5280 Magazine, I think more and more people will be noticing what I am up to.  Check out the awesome feature 5280 did on the Horseshoe Market and see who happens to be one of the vendor picks.  (blush)  http://www.5280.com/blogs/2013/07/09/best-bets-summer-horseshoe-craft-and-flea-marke

To show you how excited I am I drew you a picture!

Horseshoe Market July 13, 2013

Hey, I'm just days away from my 1st Horseshoe Market!  I am sooo excited I can hardly sleep.  I guess that is why I am up blogging at 12:45am!  I wanted to share the details just in case you can come by and say hi.

Oh I almost forgot.  They are handing out swag bags to the first 50 attendees!  I will have a few goodies to add to the bags. I was thinking of adding a lawn cozy or two.  Each swag bag is different, just like the 110 vendors at the Horseshoe.  But you have to be there early to get one.  It starts at 9am, but the Horseshoe has a big following so be there early!  If you miss out on the swag bags I will have plenty of lawn cozies available for purchase for $10 each.  Here is a photo of some lawn cozies for your enjoyment.

Holy cow it's July!!!!!

Yikes it's July and I have not had a blog post in months!  Well, what can I say I have been a bit busy.  But I thought today would be the perfect time to catch up.  SO, I hope everyone has been well?  Since my last post I have moved, school got out for the year and I now have 2 markets under my belt for the season.  SO I thought I would just post some fun photos from June's Sweet William Market.
